Yamazaki

The Yamazaki Distillery is the oldest commercial whisky distillery in Japan. It was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Toriiand is located in Yamazaki, a region known for its exceptionally pure water and ideal climate for whisky maturation.

As part of the Suntory company, Yamazaki is considered a pioneer of Japanese single malt whisky. The distillery is famous for its wide variety of cask types, including American bourbon barrels, Spanish sherry casks, and rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks, which give the whiskies their complex and elegant aromas.
