With the Ardbeg Supernova 2009 Stellar Release Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, the distillery achieved an absolute success. This bottling was named Whisky of the Year in Murray’s Whisky Bible 2010 and Second Finest Whisky in the World with 97 points.
The Ardbeg Supernova 2009 features a uniquely smoky flavour profile and, with 100 PPM, an extremely high peat level. The Ardbeg Supernova Stellar Release 2009 Islay Single Malt was bottled at cask strength with 58.9% vol., without added colouring and without chill filtration, and is strictly limited.
